comments:
The best Simply Sunshine we have made. A wonderful reflection of a
perfect vintage. The fruit is of very high quality, sourced from our
McLaren Vale and the cooler Adelaide Hills vineyards. Vibrant rich
purple colour, the nose is redolent of black fruits, liquorice,
exotic spices and Turkish delight. These flow through to the spicy,
full flavoured, generous palate finishing with lovely, ripe, round
tannins. Barrique?

Vintage:
A perfect vintage in SA – possibly the best vintage ever for red
wines in McLaren Vale. Good winter rains in 2009, some early heat at
flowering which reduced crop levels in some varieties, but then a
beautiful period from fruit set right through veraison and ripening
with moderately warm daytime temperatures and cool evenings and no
rainfall. Red varieties showed wonderful colour, great varietal
characters and ripe, crunchy tannins. |
